The Indian film industry based in Mumbai is known as the ‘Bollywood’ just like the Hollywood of USA. Although Bollywood refers to all the movies in India, it is originally named only after the Hindi-Language films that are made in Mumbai. Every year there are more than 1200 films produced in India which is almost more than any other country in the world, however there are still people without a television at their home.
Traditional Bollywood films’ concepts are mostly romantic entanglements, light-hearted comedy and action. Music plays an important role. Almost in all the movies actors sing and dance.
Today the modern Indian movies are more closer to the Hollywood model and challenging the old stereotypes.
